In the SDGs, raising awareness and education is one of the goals and concrete measures to tackle climate change. While investing in geothermal projects and promoting geothermal development around the world, raising awareness and education about renewable energy, including geothermal, is part of Baseload’s corporate social responsibility. In March 2023, Baseload Capital published a children's book, Our Hidden Powers in Sweden, in many different language versions including English, Swedish, and Chinese. A Japanese edition is also in preparation.
"Our Hidden Powers" tells the story of how renewable energies such as solar, wind, hydropower, bioenergy and geothermal can use their strengths and work together to drive the energy transition and create a sustainable planet. Meanwhile, through the characters, the story also aims to encourage people to find their own strengths.
Since its release in March, many geothermal organizations, renewable energy companies, investors, embassies, universities, educational institutions, libraries from many regions have become our book ambassadors and supporters. Several reading events and educational activities have also been organized to invite adults and children to enjoy the book. In Japan, Baseload Power Japan is preparing to publish a Japanese version of the book and launch some educational activities using traditional picture story shows.
